a simple midi subharmonicon
I wanted to have a simple midi subharmonicon where i understood what was happening. here it is.
this is my first max for live device so if you see any issues please let me know!!
How to use:
-The trigger at the top left enables or disables the device.
-The triggers in line with the rhythms enable or disable that individual rhythm for that sequence.
-The signature knobs on the far left change the time signature. Feel free to use anything from 1/1 to 16/16: I thought about changing this but I voted for having support for weirder time signatures, instead of changing it to just be 1/X.
-Notes all send Midi note messages.
-Velocity and Length control velocity and length for every note that's sent in the sequence.
-Rhythm knobs all divide the main tempo and control their own rhythms. If you feed multiple rhythms into the same sequence, they both fire at their own rhythm subdivisions, so you get an interestingly variable polyrhythm that divides cleanly into the overall tempo.
the subharmoniclone is a straight clone of the subharmonicon's rhythmic functionality in max for live.
harmonic rhythms expands on the idea that the subharmonicon explores, adding:
-more steps (up to 2 8-step sequences)
-harmonic as well as subharmonic secondary notes
-an offset functionality to add one to the timesig demoninator per lane [helps for polyrhythms]
